dentistry in india

Ayush

Our Dental Internship in India will not only give you the invaluable clinical experience that you need to excel in your studies and advance in your career, but our dental program abroad will help you form networks with the dental community in India.

Suitable for dentistry students, our dental electives in Cochin, Kerala (South India) are designed to place you in a structured and disciplined working environment, under the supervision of an expert dentist who is there to both challenge you and guide you.

Kerala is an incredible location to choose from and your dentistry internship will be at a local clinic run by experienced dentists and their teams. There are a good flow of patients coming in daily and students can spend their time learning about Oral Rehabilitation, Crowns and Bridges, FixingCosmetic/ Aesthetic Dentistry, Dentofacial Orthopedics, Impaction / Impacted Tooth Extraction, Conservative Dentistry, Dental Fillings, Dental Implants, FixingInvisible/Clear Braces, and Laser Surgery. Please note that this placement is an observer ship and you will not be allowed to handle patients directly.

What is involved

Our Dental program is conducted at a private dental clinic with a team of experienced dentists. This program is ideally suitable for dental students with knowledge of dental lingo. Dentistry students will work under the guidance and mentorship of the leading dentist at the clinic and his team across both general and cosmetic practices.

We place no more than 2 to 4 students in the clinic at once to ensure there is no overcrowding and the dentist
and his team can spend time to teach each of you. It is important to note that the experience for all dental clinics is mainly observation-based, where students will get exposure to a wide range of cases. We recommend you to join for a minimum of 4 weeks if you want to get a good exposure in this placement. We can also allow you to conduct a dental workshop in a local  schools or on our community program with women.

You can expect to work for 5 to 7 hours a day. Timings will be given to you on arrival by our program coordinators. Weekends will be free for your leisure and you will can stay and travel around Kerala or travel around India. Our local team would be glad to help you out in country with any weekend excursions.
