When volunteering abroad, it is critical that you choose a volunteer organisation or charity with a proven ethos and philosophy around sustainable and responsible practices. Volunteering Journeys is a social enterprise and we like to be transparent. Our program fee logic is to provide responsible and quality volunteer programs to you. We are committed to give support, ensuring the wellbeing and guidance for volunteers, as well as giving on-going support to communities in need. Understandably these operations cost money to develop and run especially when we do not recruit enough volunteers, and this is where the volunteers fees come in.

The Bulk of Your Fees Cover:

Pre-Departure Support

  • Our friendly sales team who provide you with as much information and material as you need to help choose a volunteer program.
  • Pre-departure field guides for the country you are coming to.
  • We have to regularly visit and stay around projects to have first-hand knowledge of the volunteer experience.
  • Help with pre-departure including flights and insurance.

in-country Arrangements

  • Safe and comfortable volunteer accommodation
  • 24/7 support from experienced local field team
  • Transfers to and from the airport with our local drivers meeting you at the airport
  • Transport to and from daily projects with local staff
  • Project placement fees
  • Communication – Wifi and Emergency phone lines

On-Project Support

  • Our programs have expert and experienced local field teams
  • All volunteers go through an orientation program once they arrive. This encompasses project activities training, volunteer responsibilities, how to keep safe, education on the local culture and tips and advice for the duration of your stay.
  • Our field teams live near the volunteer accommodation and provide 24 hour support.
