Our Dentistry Internships Abroad offers a unique opportunity to be exposed to dental cases that may be very different from your home country. Volunteers on dentistry work placements can expect to take a shadowing or assisting role, as regulations mean that independent patient care is very restricted. When joining as a dental group you may also have the opportunity to work alongside local dentists to conduct large-scale dental check-ups and run campaigns or workshops in schools to teach dental hygiene.

Under the dentist’s and the staff’s supervision, dental students will carry out various tasks to assist, such as helping with the front desk, sanitizing dental tools, and inputting data during examinations. The dentist may assign you more roles as you familiarize yourself with the daily routine of the office, brushing and flossing methods, healthy food habits, and simple procedures such as fluoride varnishes and sealants.
