Our Dental Internships Abroad provide dental students with the chance to experience oral healthcare in a global context. These dentistry work placements expose you to a variety of dental cases that may differ significantly from those in your home country, offering valuable insights into global dental practices. As a participant, you will mainly take on a shadowing or assisting role, as independent patient care is restricted by local regulations. Under the supervision of experienced dentists and staff, you may assist with front desk duties, sterilize and prepare dental tools, input data during examinations, and support oral health education on topics such as brushing, flossing, and nutrition. In some cases, you may also be permitted to help with simple procedures including fluoride varnishes, sealants, suction, and handling equipment.
When joining as part of a dental student group placement, you may also work alongside local dentists on community outreach programs. These include conducting large-scale dental check-ups, promoting oral health awareness, and running school workshops on dental hygiene. Once we get your application form we will contact you and confirm your spot and also share your details with our local team.
4. Support in preparing
Our team will send material to help you prepare for your upcoming program and to support you and answer any questions related to your location.
5. Getting ready
We recommend you get your visas, insurance, flights as well as packing list organised well in advance so you are not rushing last minute.
6. Come out & start the adventure
This is the exciting part! Once you reach us in the country everything is taken care of. All you have to do is focus on making a difference & enjoying the experience.
