Yoga Holiday & Volunteering in India

Immerse yourself in peace and purpose with our Yoga Holiday Volunteer Program in India, based in Kerala’s tranquil landscapes. This unique program blends yoga practice, sharing, and volunteering — giving you a chance to deepen your practice while making a positive difference in local communities.

A yoga holiday paired with volunteer service allows you to nourish your body, mind, and spirit while contributing meaningfully to society. You’ll not only grow in your yoga practice but also support underprivileged communities — teaching, caring, or leading wellness sessions — all within the rich cultural and spiritual setting of India.
Our program is set in Kerala, famed for its backwaters, tea hills, Ayurvedic traditions, and relaxed coastal towns. The volunteer house is located in Fort Kochi, offering easy access to local schools, clinics, and community centers where your volunteer work will take place.

What You’ll Do — Yoga, Teaching & Community Work

During your Yoga and Volunteer Program in India, you will practice under the guidance of experienced yoga teachers who will help you deepen or rediscover your spiritual side. This program is designed for both beginners and advanced yoga practitioners.

You’ll receive daily morning lessons in Hatha yoga — combining asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation, and cleansing practices. Guided by local yoga gurus, each morning and evening 1-hour session helps you strengthen your practice, connect spiritually, and discover deeper benefits of yoga. While most classes are in groups, you may also receive occasional private sessions if there are no others. Class timing is generally 7-8 am and you will get 1 session Monday to Friday only.

Alongside yoga, you’ll take part in community-based volunteer projects Monday to Friday. This will be either teaching in local schools, supporting women’s empowerment initiatives or assisting children with disabilities at a special needs school. Projects are scheduled across mornings and afternoons with support and preparation from our local coordinators.

Weekends are your free time to explore Kerala. Popular activities include an overnight houseboat cruise on the backwaters, trekking through the lush tea plantations of Munnar, or enjoying a rejuvenating Ayurveda massage or treatment in Fort Kochi. This balance of yoga, volunteering, and cultural immersion makes your stay both purposeful and unforgettable.
