Family Volunteering In Nepal

Embark on a meaningful family adventure in one of the world’s most awe-inspiring destinations — Nepal. Our Family Volunteering in Nepal program offers parents and children the unique chance to contribute to local communities, experience rich cultural traditions, and explore the breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas together.

Volunteering abroad as a family is an incredibly fulfilling way to bond, grow, and make a positive difference. Based in Kathmandu, Nepal’s vibrant capital, you’ll spend your days helping in community schools and your evenings discovering the cultural charm, spirituality, and warmth that make Nepal such a special place.

This one-week family volunteering trip blends hands-on community work, cultural exchange, and adventure — perfect for families who want to travel with purpose and give back while creating unforgettable memories.

🕊️ A Cultural and Educational Family Experience

Our family volunteer programs in Nepal are designed to engage all members of the family — from parents to children — in projects that are fun, educational, and impactful. Adults assist local teachers and community educators, while children participate in classroom and recreational activities alongside local students.

You’ll work with children aged 5 to 13 in schools around Kathmandu, supporting English lessons, creative workshops, and outdoor sports or games. Whether you’re helping with pronunciation, storytelling, or art projects, your involvement directly enhances students’ confidence and communication skills.

For children, volunteering abroad is an eye-opening experience. They not only make friends from another culture but also develop empathy, teamwork, and an understanding of global citizenship — lessons that last a lifetime.

Evenings are your time to unwind as a family — walk around the ancient streets of Thamel, visit local temples like Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) or Pashupatinath, and enjoy Nepal’s incredible cuisine at small family-run cafes.
